GOLF RULES

1. Play on the course will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf modified by local rules. Local rules are posted in the Golf Shop and printed on the scorecards.

The Golf shop personnel have the responsibility to refuse course privileges to anyone who violates established rules and decorum.

2. All golfers are expected to practice good golf etiquette as illustrated below.

  1. Groups falling a hole behind will invite the following players to play
     through.
  2. Repair divots on the course and ball marks on the green.
  3. Players will rake bunkers smooth of all holes and footprints. Rakes will be left in bunkers. Please place rake handles at 90 degrees to the edge of the bunker.
  4. Players searching for a ball should signal players behind to play through as soon as it is apparent the ball will not easily be found.
  5. When play of a hole is completed, players should immediately leave the putting green.
  6. No player should play until players in front are out of range.
  7. Players should insure that when removing, replacing, or putting down the flagstick, no damage is done to the putting green. The flagstick should be properly replaced in the hole before the players leave the putting green.
  8. Players shall not play their ball from a wrong putting green.
  9. When in doubt as to a player's ball striking a person ahead, be liberal in shouting "FORE".

3. Starting times are made through the Golf Shop, in person, or by telephone. Reservations will be accepted one week in advance.

4. All players, including guests, must register in person at the Golf Shop prior to play. Each player must have a bag and clubs. All play will commence, when called, at the first tee unless exceptions are allowed by the Golf Professional or his staff.

5. Normal hours of play will be as designated in the S-putter and will vary with the season. Exceptions will occur due to frost conditions, inclement weather, special work on the course, and tournaments. Revised times will be posted.

On Tuesday, the first tee will be reserved for the ladies until 12:00 noon and on Wednesday until 12:00 noon for the men.

6. All golfers are requested to use good judgment in wearing golf attire. (See Dress Code)

7. Range balls will be available in the golf shop. Fees if any are as established by the Board. The driving range will be closed one hour before sunset.

8. Golf balls will be hit from mats only unless the range is set up to be used from the grass.

9. All members who are hitting balls will be aware of what is happening around them and take all precaution to insure they do not injure any other members.

10. The range balls are to be used on the range only and not taken off the range unless approved by the pro-shop for some reason.

11. The distance to the bottom of the net straight away is 215 yards, NO MEMBERS should hit clubs that will allow them to hit the ball over the net and possibly injure a golfer playing on number 11. If a member is seen intentionally hitting balls over the net they will be asked to leave the range immediately. Repeated warning will result in the member losing range privilege for one month.

12. Range users will not line up to allow them to hit shots over the trees and on to the 18th fairway. Should a member accidentally hit a ball that is heading over the trees they should check for members playing and yell a warning fore to them. Repeated shots over the trees will not be tolerated and a member will be asked to leave the range immediately.

13. If the range is full and other members are waiting for their turn, please work out a rotating hitting schedule to allow each member an opportunity to use the practice facility.

14. Club insurance does not cover members' personal property stored in a locker or in their bags in the Club storage area. This coverage is generally provided by the member’s homeowner’s policy.
